Here are just a few of the organizations we support:
The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, the oldest hospital in the United States dedicated exclusively to pediatrics, is one of the leading pediatric hospitals and research facilities in the world. CHOP’s 150 years of innovation and service to their patients, families and community reflect an ongoing commitment to exceptional patient care, training new generations of pediatric healthcare providers and pioneering significant research initiatives. giftofchildhood.org
In 2009, Endo supported two programs at CHOP:
Homeless Health Initiative: Clinicians and residents at Children's Hospital have provided free, high-quality, on-site medical and dental services and health education and advocacy to hundreds of children and families each year who are temporarily housed at several homeless shelters in Philadelphia though the Homeless Health Initiative. Endo’s generosity has significantly furthered the mission of this unique program.
Family Care Binders: CHOP Care Binders are personalized organizing tools for families with children who have special and complex healthcare needs. Families use the binders to keep track of vital information about their child's health, and to more easily find and share key information with those who take part in their child's care. Endo Pharmaceuticals funds more than 2,400 Care Binders for patient families.
Cancer Research Institute is dedicated exclusively to the support and coordination of laboratory and clinical efforts that will lead to the immunological treatment, control and prevention of cancer. Our contribution to the Irvington Institute Fellowship Program will help accelerate the mission to conquer cancer through the understanding of immunology. cancerresearch.org
The Arthritis Foundation is the only national not-for-profit organization that supports the more than 100 types of arthritis and related conditions. Endo has supported the Jimmy Rollins Basebowl Tournament and the Malvern, PA Jingle Bell Run. In fact, a team of Endo employees and their families have been the top national fundraising team two years in a row, raising more than $25,000 in 2009. arthritis.org
Philabundance, the largest hunger relief organization in the Philadelphia region, has a mission of ending hunger and malnutrition in the Delaware Valley by acquiring food and distributing it through organizations serving people in need. This year, in addition to the corporate donation, Endo employees collected 384 lbs of food during the holiday food drive. philabundance.org
