Endo Stands as a Force for Good: Corporate Responsibility Report

Purpose & Community Sustainability Team & Culture

At Endo, one of our three strategic business priorities is to be a force for good—meaning we are committed to the adoption of more sustainable practices that positively impact all our stakeholders.

Our newest annual Corporate Responsibility Report highlights that work and reflects the progress that Endo International plc made in 2023, as well as over the past five years of tracking responsibility and sustainability efforts—all prior to Endo, Inc.’s acquisition of Endo International’s assets in April 2024,

We are excited to share the below standout stories and progress among four key pillars of corporate responsibility and sustainability:

Business Practices:

  • In 2023, more than 99% reported they were aware of how to report ethical concerns or ask questions related to compliance, thanks to Code of Conduct communication, education, and training.
  • The number of LGBTQ+ Business Enterprise suppliers increased by 200% spanning across various areas of the business (including Commercial, Finance, Supply Chain, R&D, Corporate Affairs, and Manufacturing).
  • An information security program educates team members and protects company data and assets. Team members participated in more than six hours of annual information security training, with 99.8% on-time completion rate in 2023.

Team:

  • In 2023, the overall Recordable Incident Rate was 0.1 per 100 employees (versus an already strong 0.4 in 2022). Procedures and practices to maintain safety are integral to a Culture of Excellence that rewards team members for bringing attention to issues they observe and incentivizes them to find solutions and enable better outcomes.
  • Established leadership training programs continued to fill the leadership pipeline, with 16% of team members promoted to new roles within the company in 2023.
  • Across four locations in India, more than 800 team members volunteered at 21 charities and donated 2,000 volunteer hours, touching the lives of 7,350 people—and demonstrating a commitment to communities.

Customers:

  • The Good Catch program involves training so team members can identify “good catches”— incidents that could result in an error if not corrected or could greatly improve a process. In 2023, team members submitted 1,200 Good Catch ideas focused on quality, safety, compliance, efficiency, and the environment.
  • A Clinical Trial Advisory Board provided insights and feedback on the technology, protocols, and engagement practices with sites throughout the duration of clinical trials.
To address access and affordability, 402,000 units of medicine were donated to people in 23 countries last year, and the partnership with Hand in Hand in India continued to support Mobile Health Units, which have reached almost 170,000 patients since its inception in 2017.

World:

  • To improve stewardship of water resources, technologies such as membrane filtration/reverse osmosis enable plants to reuse effluents and sanitary waste for plant service and gardening needs.
  • In 2023, waste efforts generated a recycling 10% increase, from 713 to 795 tons, the majority of which was plastics and corrugate materials, and a simultaneous reduction in overall non-recyclable content at sites.
  • The move from air to sea freight reduced international freight emissions by 15%.

As Endo moves forward, we remain steadfast in our commitment to corporate responsibility and sustainability, and we are continuing to progress embedding that commitment across our business.
