“Reminders” Commercial for Dupuytren’s Contracture

Health & Patients

The Reminders campaign emboldens patients to advocate for their preferred treatment plan for Dupuytren’s contracture, a progressive hand condition that affects an estimated 13 million Americans.*1,2

Using the visual of counting on hands with rope-like cords reinforces five preferences and actions for Dupuytren’s contracture patients in a clear and tangible way. The items listed in the commercial include:

  • “I don’t want surgery for my Dupuytren’s contracture.”
  • “I don’t want to wait for my contracture to get worse.”
  • “I want a treatment with minimal downtime.”
  • “I want a nonsurgical treatment.”
  • “If nonsurgical treatment isn’t offered, I’ll get a second opinion.”

* Dupuytren’s contracture prevalence estimation calculation in the U.S.: Average Dupuytren’s contracture prevalence in the U.S. (5%) multiplied by U.S. adult population (~258 million adults per 2020 U.S. Census data) = ~13 million.
